#1: The New Year’s resolution is too ambitious
The biggest challenge with New Year’s resolutions is that most people set themselves far too ambitious goals.
If you want to save more money, it is doomed to failure if you say to yourself: “I will save 30% more of my income next year” because that goal is far too ambitious.

c) Reduce single-use plastic waste by 10% every month. For example, if the plastic garbage can is currently full after 10 days, commit to filling it to 11 days next month. It’s as simple as that.
The supreme discipline would of course be to strive for zero waste. But since no one is born a master, you should start with a single next step.
