Where is Botanic Park / Tainmuntilla?

WOMADelaide is held in close proximity to the Adelaide CBD in the beautiful Botanic Park / Tainmuntilla. Entry to the festival is via the gates on Frome Road and Hackney Road. Find directions to Botanic Park / Tainmuntilla via Google Maps HERE.

While you're in town, check out southaustralia.com for all the best that Adelaide and South Australia has to offer.

Cycling

Free Bike Park

One of the easiest ways to get to WOMADelaide is by bike, and we encourage patrons attending the event to consider riding. The festival offers bike parks to accommodate more than 700 bikes, located adjacent to both the Hackney Road and Frome Road entrances. The best routes in to the festival include along the Torrens Linear Park and the cycle paths along Adelaide's major arterial roads. City cycling maps are available HERE with maps 6 and 9 showing access to Botanic Park. Please note that Plane Tree Drive will be closed to all traffic including cyclists for WOMADelaide.

Please ensure that you bring your own bike lock to secure your ride in the bike park. The bike park has a security presence but the token system that has operated in the past is no longer in use.

Parking

Parking is limited! There is no parking available on site and little in adjacent residential streets, so we recommend you carpool and park 'n' walk from the city (5-10 mins walk), or ride a bike, take the bus or share a cab/uber with friends.

UPark Rundle or UPark Frome

Guarantee your parking for WOMADelaide. Pre-book your parking from $7 night and weekend at UPark Rundle or UPark Frome. Guarantee your parking ahead of WOMAD from $7 pre-booked or drive in and park from $8. Convenient and affordable parking, open 24 hours and only a short walk to Botanic Park. Book HERE.

Wilson Parking Lot Fourteen

Pre-book your parking via the Wilson Parking app or online at the Lot Fourteen car park and receive $5 Night and Weekend Parking. Car park information here and download the Wilson Parking app here.

St Peter's Parking

Due to building works on the St Peter’s College campus there will be no public car parking or pedestrian through-traffic across the festival weekend (all gates will be locked).

Public Transport

Adelaide Metro - City Connector

Take advantage of the free City Connector bus, offering a hop-on and hop-off service to the City and North Adelaide linking popular city attractions, shopping, dining and key destinations. Bus route 98A and 98C connect North Adelaide with the city, and 99A and 99C connect the inner-city areas not serviced by the tram. Services operate every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends.

Adelaide Metro - WOMADelaide Loop
